Paul D. Mormon, O.D.

“Dr. Paul” Mormon was born and raised in this community. He attended High School at Briarcrest Christian School. His undergraduate education was completed at the University of Tennessee- Knoxville where he earned a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Zoology. Dr. Paul returned to Memphis to attend Optometry school at the Southern College of Optometry where he earned several student clinical awards. Dr. Paul joined Eyecare East, PLLC in 2001 as a full-time partner. In 2004, he returned to Southern College of Optometry as a part-time Clinical Optometrist at The Eye Center. In 2013 Dr. Paul partnered with Dr. Brent Jones and opened Collierville Eye Associates to serve Collierville and the surrounding areas. Dr. Paul achieved the rank of Associate Professor and was awarded three “Clinic Faculty of the Year” awards by his students. Dr. Paul is a clinical investigator for several contact lens companies and has formed a Consulting group to assist new graduates become successful in practice. Dr. Paul is married to Kelli and they have three daughters.


Brent Jones, O.D.

A native of Iowa, Dr. Brent Jones received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa, and his Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in 2002. Prior to opening Jones Eyecare in 2008, Dr. Jones worked in private practice in the Memphis area and as an instructor at Southern College of Optometry. In 2013 Dr. Jones partnered with Dr. Paul Mormon and opened Collierville Eye Associates to serve Collierville and the surrounding areas. Dr. Jones successfully completed his Theraputic Optometry exam certifing him to diagnose and treat both vision and medical eye conditions, Including prescriptions for glasses and specialty contact lenses, refractive surgery consultations, cataract pre- and post-operative care, the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries, infections, diabetic eyecare, and glaucoma care. Dr. Jones is a Board Certified Optometrist. This certification goes above and beyond his Doctorate of Optometry; fewer than 10% of Optometrist have achieved this certification. Dr. Jones is a member of the American Optometric Association , the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, and the West Tennessee Optometric Society. Additionally, Dr. Jones is a member of the Germantown Chamber of Commerce, and a regular volunteer at Lausanne Collegate School. He is married to Jennifer and has two children.


Karen Conway, O.D.

A native of Germantown, Dr. Karen Conway received her undergraduate degree from The University of Tennessee, magna cum laude, in 2001. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from The Southern College of Optometry, cum laude, in 2005. Dr. Conway was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa at The Southern College of Optometry which recognized her for her outstanding academic achievements. Dr. Conway joined our practice in 2011. She is a licensed Optometrist in the State of Tennessee and is DEA registered. Dr. Conway is a member of the American Optometric Association, Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, and is certified to practice Therapeutic Optometry. Dr. Conway sees patients with eye infections or injuries. She participates in the InfantSEE Program which is a comprehensive infant eye health evaluation and vision assessment within the first year of age, free of charge. She also performs Visual Perceptual Evaluations for children with vision-related learning disorders. Dr. Conway is married to Kannon and has two children.


Angela Darby: Insurance Coordinator – A native of upstate New York, Angela joined our practice in 2013.  She has many years of experience as an office manager in an Ophthalmic practice, additionally, she served over a decade with patients with special needs.  She has a widespread knowledge of all facets of the Optometric industry.  She handles the majority of health and vision insurance inquiries as well as assisting in frame selections.  Angela and her husband Billy have 2 children, 2 grandchildren.  They are avid animal lovers and enjoy riding their motorcycle.


Samantha Pieraccini: Patient Care Coordinator – A native of Mason, TN, Samantha joined our practice in 2016.   Samantha began her career in an Ophthalmic practice in 2011.  She earned her C.O.A. (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant) certification in 2014.  Samantha serves as the key liaison between patients, staff members, and doctors.  Samantha is married to Drew who is a Memphis Firefighter/Paramedic.  They are animal lovers and enjoy the outdoors.
